BASF and INEOS to establish a new global styrenics company
BASF SE (Ludwigshafen, Germany) and INEOS Industries Holdings Limited (Lyndhurst, UK) have announced their intention to combine their global business activities in styrene monomers (SM), PS, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), styrene-butadiene block copolymers (SBC) and other styrene-based copolymers (SAN, AMSAN, ASA, MABS) as well as copolymer blends into a new joint venture called Styrolution.

Pacific Packaging Machinery acquires Pack West Machinery
Pacific Packaging Machinery Inc., manufacturer of rotary and inline liquid filling machines, has purchased Pack West Machinery. Pack West, a 40 year manufacturer of rotary and inline filling and capping equipment, will become a division of Pacific Packaging and continue to operate in their 40,000 sq-ft facility in Irwindale, CA.

 

Beckhoff Automation, Fertig Motors enter product development partnership
Beckhoff Automation announces it has joined Fertig Motors GmbH in a joint venture that will co-develop and produce highly dynamic Beckhoff servomotors. The first of these products will be presented at the end of 2011.

 

LMI Packaging Solutions to buy renewable power to offset all of the electricity used for its operations
LMI Packaging Solutions Inc. has committed to purchase renewable electricity from We Energies, Energy for Tomorrow to offset 100 percent of the electricity used for its business operations and has joined the U.S. EPA's Green Power Partnership. LMI Packaging Solutions says, it is the first U.S.-based heat-seal die-cut lidding company to make this commitment.

They utilize state of the art CNC, water jet and laser equipment to machine all of their parts in house, keeping quality at the highest level.
