Ball acquires Neuman Aluminum
Ball Corporation announced today that it has acquired Neuman Aluminum, the leading North American manufacturer of aluminum slugs used to make extruded aerosol cans, beverage bottles, aluminum collapsible tubes and technical impact extrusions. The transaction price was not disclosed. Neuman Aluminum operates plants in Verona, Va., and Sherbrooke, Quebec, which produce slugs that are converted into premium packaging for personal care, household, beverage and other products.

NewPage Escanaba Michigan Mill to manufacture papers for pressure-sensitive label industry
NewPage Corporation today announced that its No. 3 paper machine at its Escanaba, Michigan mill will manufacture release liner and general purpose label papers for North American and International pressure sensitive markets. The Escanaba mill's No. 3 paper machine has a 262 inch trim.

John Doyle joins AEK Packaging’s managerial team
