MWV’s MWare food service paperboard receives Biodegradable Products Institute’s compostable certification
Westvaco Corp. announced that its MWare food service paperboard has been certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI). Cups, plates and other disposable containers made from MWare PLA-coated and uncoated bleached paperboard can be commercially composted with food waste and can feature BPI’s compostable label.

MatrX Adhesives launches expanded web and video features
MatrX is expanding its website to allow a greater range of information on its line of adhesives. The site will evolve in unison with the MatrX brand detailing product offering, cost savings, benefits, common uses, product line specifications and more. At www.matrx.com viewers can learn about the product offering, application methods, and common uses. Literature and samples of MatrX adhesives can now be requested online. Visitors can also view a 2-minute video featuring product information, application options, and uses in beverage distribution, POP, contract packaging, fulfillment, framing, direct mail and print applications.

Canon Communications’ process technology show to celebrate 35 years
The PTXi/International Powder & Bulk Solids (IPBS) show will mark its 35th year May 4-6, 2010 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. The conference and exhibition, acquired four years ago by Canon Communications LLC, has since 1976 been the premier event for access to the full range of equipment, technology, information, and expertise for process professionals. This year’s exhibition will feature more than 400 industry suppliers.
