Graphic Packaging Increases Prices on SUS Paperboard in Europe
Graphic Packaging International, Inc. recently announced a European price increase on all grades of its solid unbleached sulphate (SUS) paperboard, effective with shipments on or after May 31, 2010. The price of all GPI SUS Paperboard will increase by 65 pounds Sterling per ton in the U.K. and euro 65 per ton in the rest of Europe.
MeadWestvaco awarded patent for fragrance dispensing system
MeadWestvaco Corp. announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office approved the company’s patent application for a fragrance dispensing system using MWV’s NoC dip tube (patent number 7,718,132). The company says NoC is the world’s first dip tube that appears virtually invisible, thanks to the inventive use of light-refracting technology.
X-Rite and Canon Europe Announce i1Process Control version 3
X-Rite, Incorporated and Canon Europe announced a new version of the i1Process Control software (v3) for Canon imagePRESS digital presses, including the new imagePRESS C7010VP. Developed exclusively for Canon by X-Rite, i1Process Control v3 provides imagePRESS customers with seamless, integrated control over their color print production output and features a host of enhancements including iterative profiling, new ISO verification features, as well as new interoperability and workflow enhancements. With i1Process Control v3, Canon imagePRESS customers will now have access to X-Rite’s i1Prism engine with iterative profiling capability and spot color optimization features to build highly accurate printer profiles. For the first time, users will also be able to share measurement data with other X-Rite applications and hardware in their workflows.
