BOWE BELL + HOWELL announces cooperative agreement with China Post/Shanghai Research Institute
BOWE BELL + HOWELL (BBH) and China Post/Shanghai Research Institute (SRI) today held a signing ceremony finalizing a cooperative agreement that enables distribution of BBH's High-Speed Flats Feeder technology into mainland China, and integration of SRI cross-belt technology into BBH systems for the global market. China Post is a state-owned large enterprise that regulates the national postal industry in the People's Republic of China, and SRI is a leading research and development organization that consults and provides solutions and recommendations to China Post.

Cereplast enters distribution agreement with Ashland to supply environmentally friendly bioplastic resins

SCA appoints Kersti Strandqvist Senior Vice President of new corporate staff function for sustainability
Kersti Strandqvist has been appointed Senior Vice President of the new corporate staff function for Sustainability and will also be a member of SCA’s Corporate Senior Management Team. Kersti Strandqvist was employed at SCA in 1997 and has since worked in various positions in the hygiene area, which accounts for 60% of the Group’s sales. Kersti Strandqvist is currently Vice President of the Feminine Care product area within the Group’s unit for category control, the Global Hygiene Category.

NatureWorks LLC names U.S. Pacific nonwovens exclusive agent for Ingeo spun-melt applications in the Asia Pacific region
NatureWorks LLC has selected U.S. Pacific Nonwovens Industry, Ltd. as the exclusive agent for Ingeo spun-melt (spun-bond and melt-blown) nonwovens in the Asia Pacific Region. The new relationship between NatureWorks, the manufacturer of Ingeo biopolymer and U.S. Pacific was announced in April at the international biopolymers conference, “Innovation Takes Root 2010,” in Dallas. The conference, organized by NatureWorks, also featured announcements about several additional advances with Ingeo in fibers and nonwovens.
