The co. introduces CPG’s new Torayfan® TreaTear™ PP sealant films that are designed to provide effortless precise directional tear for retort pouches. The films, made with the co.’s proprietary patent-pending film design, work as the sealant layer in any type of pouch lamination and do not require laser scoring or perforations to make a clean, straight tear wherever needed on a pouch.  Available as thin as 30 microns (1.2 mil.) TreaTear films offer yield advantages over the traditional 60- or 70-micron sealant web films, as well as flexibility with overall lamination design. The films are designed to stand up to the rigors of manufacturing and offer the rigidity required for attractive, protective barrier pouches, the co. states. Additionally, the films are said to offer important sustainability benefits.
