Packaging Technology Tour Set for October 16
Lead by Packaging Digest executive editor Lisa Pierce, the free tour highlights a handful of packaging technologies on the show floor, along with insightful conversation. It’s one of several edutainment happenings at MinnPack.
Join me on Wednesday, October 16, at 1:00 p.m., for a Packaging Technology Tour to see a handful of packaging technologies making news these days.
The free tour is one of many learning opportunities at the upcoming Advanced Manufacturing Minneapolis (October 16-17; Minneapolis), which brings together separate but co-located events: MD&M, MinnPack, ATX, Design & Manufacturing, and Plastec.
For the Packaging Technology Tour, we’ll meet at the Engineering Theater, booth 1516, at 1:00 p.m. (just after my panel session “What is EPR-Forward Food Packaging & Why Do You Need It?” – come early to the Engineering Theater for that). From there, we’ll visit a spattering of packaging exhibitors who will show-and-tell their nifty offerings. As we take the short walk from one stop to the next, I’ll relate what we’ve heard to trends in the industry, giving a broader context to the technologies.
Then stick around and enjoy the Booth Bar Crawl later that afternoon. The fun starts at 3:30 p.m. and goes through 4:30. Wind down with your peers at meet-and-greets on the expo floor at any of the participating booths listed below. All pass types can visit exhibitors, enjoy beer and light bites, and learn about different products at these participating sponsors (in booth number order):
Choice Bank, Booth 1941
Confluent Medical Technologies, Booth 2626
Intricon, Booth 2721
Minnesota Wire, Booth 2907
Cirtec Medical, Booth 3003
This sizzle-reel from last year’s event gives you a taste of what to expect this October.
Strengthen your packaging career.
You can also find me at Careers & Coffee on Thursday, October 17, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Here is where you can network with peers and local leaders to informally talk about career opportunities and tips. Careers & Coffee networking will be held on the expo floor in the Career Connections Lounge, which is located in the back left corner of the exhibit hall, next to the Innovation Zone Booth 1526. The Career Connections Lounge is also around the corner from the Institute of Packaging Professionals Minnesota Chapter Booth 1735. Stop by there to learn more about this important industry association and what it can do for you.
