Refillable container system
January 29, 2014
The new Not-A-Bottle™ container system has been developed to eliminate the cleanup required with permanent pouch systems, drinking bottles or canteens. Designed for end users ranging from sports enthusiasts, the military, industry and commuters to those in hospitals and nursing homes, the system uses a drinking tube or pop-up cap and provides an instant refill by simply replacing the beverage bag, the co. says. The Not-A-Bottle consists of a lightweight bag, a holder and a dispensing cap. The disposable bag contains the flowable material and has a lip (much like a baby-bottle liner) and a pull-tab or pierceable top for opening. The cap captures the bag lip between itself and the holder, and has a dispenser appropriate for the material being distributed. Caps may vary from pop-up drink tops and drinking tubes for outdoor enthusiasts to motor-oil spouts, and pumps and sprayers for cleaning solutions or personal-care products. The appropriate dispenser cap allows for ongoing reuse and instant refill by replacing the product bag. The co. is presently licensing the Not-A-Bottle container system technology for use with various types of flowable materials, including prepackaged sports and flavored drinks, nutritionals, waters and juices.
