Holographic tube embodies the promise of beauty within

When it comes to cosmetics and personal care products, buying-savvy consumers want affordable beauty that looks premium. The new Diamond Hologram tube delivers an edge-to-edge upscale design via an in-mold label printed with a holographic pattern.

From Viva Healthcare Packaging, the Diamond Hologram is one of several holographic patterns available for decorating the packaging of creams, gels, lotions or viscous liquids.

A similar fully decorated tube with a metallized in-mold label for Bodycology moisturizing body cream, also made by Viva Healthcare Packaging, won a 2014 AmeriStar award in June and a 2015 WorldStar award in November 2014 for packaging innovation in the Health & Beauty Aids category.

Viva Healthcare Packaging has developed a highly efficient manufacturing process that incorporates high-quality/photo-quality graphics on in-mold labels on injection-molded tubes. The packages also have a front-oriented flip-top closure for a professional “finished” look.

But these tubes are more than just a pretty face. All three components—tube, label and closure—are made of polypropylene, making this entire package recyclable, without separation, in programs that accept #5 plastic.

And all three components are made and assembled in the same facility by the same supplier, which significantly shortens lead times compared to the typical purchasing process of coordinating with different vendors. Viva Healthcare Packaging has three such all-inclusive manufacturing plants located in Toronto (for its business in North America), Poland (for European customers) and Hong Kong (to serve Asia-Pacific).

See it to believe it: The new Diamond Hologram tube will be on display at the upcoming Luxe Pack show (May 13-14; NYC) in booth C209. Contact North America marketing director Bruno Lebeault if you are interested in receiving a sample.
