Blister-card cartoner

The Eclipse cartoner efficiently packs blister cards into cartons, collating and interleaving the cards so packagers can reduce the size of the carton and save on shipping and material costs. The intermittent-motion system uses a new robotic infeed that handles 300 cards per minute. It runs at speeds up to 90 cartons per minute and handles carton sizes up to 10x4.5x12-inches (length, width, depth). Eclipse's 7.5x4.5-foot footprint is one of the smallest in the industry. Coding and vision inspection is done in the cartoner, rather than externally, which adds to the floorspace savings. The Eclipse features a patent-pending "walk in" style design for ease of operator interface, and a state-of-the art HMI and motion-control package. Tool-less changeovers take less than 15 minutes.
