Sealed Air's Cryovac® Brand hosts Poultry 101 at its innovation center

Sealed Air's Cryovac® brand recently hosted customers and supply partners at its Poultry 101 training event at the company's Packforum® Americas innovation center. Presentation topics included poultry processing, life production, conversion of muscle to meat, poultry meat quality, marination, food safety, global poultry packaging and cook-in technologies. Attendees also participated in hands-on demonstrations including chicken deboning. The 28,000-sq.ft Packforum® Americas is a permanent customer forum that brings the food processing, supermarket and foodservice industries together to experience the full global range of Cryovac® food packaging systems, programs and services.

 

 

Masterpiece Graphix to distribute acpo Digital Overlaminates
Masterpiece Graphix ,a digital coating company and HP-Certified Treatment Center, has partnered with acpo, a manufacturer of polyester and PP PSA roll label films, to distribute acpo's new line of digital self-wound overlaminates to HP Indigo users and other digital press operators. Acpo's range of self-wound digital laminates are engineered with an adhesive formula that forms a secure bond with oil-based digital inks. In the past, digital users have expressed issues with lamination material when used with digital inks. Conventional laminates can pull apart from the digital ink over time, de-laminating from the substrate.

 

 

Label-Aire creates tablet/capsule packaging solutions division
The PharmaPack-US division of Label-Aire is now offering tablet/capsule packaging solutions to nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, vitamin & supplement, health & beauty, confectionery and food markets in the U.S. and Mexico. PharmaPack packaging machines are manufactured to cGMP specifications with a product line comprising unscramblers, counters, sorters, inserters, cappers, sealers, outserters, cartoners and ink jet printers.

 

 

WERC launches redesigned website
The Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) has relaunched its website. The site is located at www.werc.org and offers enhanced features such as a Vendor Locator.
