Paperboard

"Connect to Web" paper webkey is a patent-pending multi-channel marketing tool that embeds a USB plug-in chip between two pieces of wafer-thin paperboard, easily connecting consumers to a marketer's online content. Its flexible design allows for easy integration into a variety of printed media, including packaging such as cartons or sleeves with a die-cut (in any shape) webkey. When plugged into a computer, the proprietary technology instantly launches a browser and transports the user to a webpage. Each webkey is assigned its own identification number so marketers can track and measure how it's used—individual by individual—giving them insight into consumer behavior. According to the company, international case studies indicate an open-and-respond rate that exceeds other tactics that share a similar goal of prompting viewers to an online destination.
