Four successful contract packaging and re-packaging companies in the pharmaceutical industry recently joined forces to create a new, single-source industry leader called Aphena Pharma Solutions.

Aphena is a new corporation based on a strategic alliance between Celeste Contract Packaging, PrePak Systems, TestPak and Integrated Pharmaceutical Packaging—all long-term specialized leaders in the contract pharma and personal care packaging, re-packaging and manufacturing industry.

Celeste Contract Packaging is based in Easton, MD, and will become the new liquid and topical division of Aphena Pharma Solutions. The Easton location specializes in manufacturing and contract packaging of liquid and topical products in flexible packets, bottles, blisters and tubes.

PrePak Systems of Cookeville, TN, TestPak of Whippany, NJ, and Integrated Pharmaceutical Packaging of Kentucky will become the solid dose division of Aphena Pharma Solutions, offering turnkey contract packaging and repackaging for the pharmaceutical, over-the-counter, nutraceutical, animal health and consumer product markets.

The four locations offer an array of packaging options; low- and high-volume bottle filling, blister packaging (cold-forming and thermoforming), custom pouching, compliance packaging, unit-dose/unit-of-use packaging, kitting and secondary packaging for solid dose products.
