Theaters pack free educational benefits for WestPack 2011 attendees

Attendees to the WestPack 2011 show next week can learn about the newest tools and technologies and gain fresh ideas at any of the three Innovation Briefs theaters located in the resource hall. These presentations will be delivered by industry experts, and admission is complimentary with an attendee badge.

Presentations planned cover a wide range of topics, including color-matched package prototypes using standard materials; the five modes of failure in linear motion and how to avoid them;  and in-cycle inspection for lights-out manufacturing. To help identify presentations  about sustainability, energy efficiency, regulation and/or compliance, the show has broken out the listings under the subcategory--The Greening of an Industry.

These presentations cover topics such as evaluating a design’s carbon footprint, quality management strategies that slash costs and reduce waste, how impending  sustainability initiatives & impending compliance obligations will impact industry, and the importance of recycling and reverse logistics management.

Presentations will be made on all three days of the show—Feb. 8, 9 and 10. The complete schedule of presentations can be viewed at the WestPack 2011 site. Online registration also is available on the website: www.canontradeshows.com/expo/wpack11
