FSIS announces HACCP validation guidance

d Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Systems Validation. The guidance document articulates how industry can meet FSIS expectations regarding HACCP systems validation and is designed to aid small and very small establishments in meeting HACCP validation requirements.

 

FSIS recommends that establishments use the guidance document to ensure that their HACCP systems are properly validated. FSIS Verification activities will begin in six months in large establishments and nine months in small and very small establishments.


FSIS also announced that a public meeting will be held on June 25, 2013 at the 1st Floor Auditorium of Patriots Plaza 3, 355 E Street SW., Washington, DC 20024., to review changes to the guidance announced in this notice and to take comments. Following the public meeting, the Agency will accept written comments until July 25, 2013.
