A new pick-and-place robotic technology from KUKA Robotics can help makers of fast-moving consumer goods, including packaged foods, automate their operations and increase output.

The KR3 Delta’s food-grade design can be used for pick-and-place applications in hygienic food handling environments. Made entirely of stainless steel, the robot is corrosion-resistant, easy to clean, and can withstand extreme temperatures as well as disinfection.

The highly accurate robot can reach 1,200 millimeters and can carry up to 6 kilograms. With high-speed cycle times, it’s well-suited to fast-moving conveyors. It also offers a small footprint, with the ability to mount on ceilings.

KUKA will be exhibiting this new product at Pack Expo Las Vegas 2021 (Las Vegas; September 27-29), Booth C-5046.
