Aimed at bridging the gap between sophisticated servo technology and general-purpose drives is the Model 94 SimpleServo® drive. Said to be characterized by first-rate performance, high accuracy and unmatched simplicity, the drive is also claimed to be priced below comparable servo products available today. The servo has 16-bit torque and velocity control input, with an electronic programmable module (EPM), which is a specially designed plug-in memory chip, suggesting that servo control parameters need only to be configured once and then can be transferred to other of the same controllers without having power applied to them. Uses include CNC, semi- conductor and electronic assembly units.
