In her session, "Packaging Sustainability and the Food Value Chain," presented by IoPP's Packaging Learning Center, Roulin will discuss the company's use of the packaging eco-design tool PIQET (Packaging Impact Quick Evaluation Tool). Nestlé has rolled out PIQET to more than 500 of its packaging specialists worldwide, and they are using it as part of their everyday work to reduce packaging's environmental impact.

What you will learn:
•Ideas for a holistic value chain approach that considers sustainable package development.

•Examples of package development with reduced environmental impact through lightweighting, recycling and bioplastics.

•Information on other packaging materials made from renewable resources.

IoPP's sessions are part of the Conference at Pack Expo, and the Pack Expo trade show, produced by PMMI. Pack Expo will run from Oct. 28-31. IoPP's 23 presentations and nearly 40 speakers will cover trends and innovation, manufacturing solutions, pharmaceutical and medical device packaging, transportation and logistics, and food product/packaging safety. The Pack Expo trade show floor, offering 1,800 exhibitors, will welcome more than 46,000 attendees from 127 countries.
