Cenergy power for Maxco Pkg
Cenergy Power, one of California's leading commercial solar developers, has completed a 1.107 megawatt (MW) solar PV system for Maxco at its manufacturing facility in Parlier. Maxco is a leading manufacturer of corrugated fresh produce containers in California.
The solar power system, developed, designed, engineered and constructed by Cenergy Power, covers more than four acres of ground at the Parlier complex. The system is further evidence of Maxco's commitment to sustainable business practices. Maxco's boiler and waste water treatment plant exceed current standards, and all of Maxco's containers are 100 percent recyclable. In addition, Maxco uses recycled source material where such use will not compromise product strength and quality.
"Our solar system will pay for itself in less than 5 years," says Mark Flaming, vp operations and sales for Maxco. "The system will reduce our carbon footprint, reduce operating costs and protect our fixed costs as energy costs increase. Sustainable business practices are a central theme here at Maxco and our solar system will help us achieve that goal."
As part of the solar arrangement, in addition to the design, engineering and installation of the solar system, Cenergy Power will provide 10 years of scheduled operations and maintenance for the system, including but not limited to, touch-free panel cleanings, preventive maintenance & repair, and overall system warranties.
