Standup blister card

The new SuSTANDable(TM) trapped blister card is designed to convert to a standing, clamshell-like package and was developed, the co. says, to help consumer product manufacturers meet new sustainable packaging initiatives. The blister card can replace the oversized plastic clamshells typically used to decrease pilferage and can reduce the plastic packaging used to make self-standing packs, the co. says. The card ships flat for a small cube size, can be used as a hanging blister card, a bulk display or a self-standing display and can be recycled. The SusSTANDable uses specially designed perforations that make it difficult to open and uses paper rather than plastic to achieve its size, “which allows a larger package that is still sustainable,” says the co. Due to the design of the bottom of the package, the blister card can easily be converted to a standing easel that can be used for open shelf or countertop displays.
