Biodegradable plank cushioning

NomaGreen biodegradable low-density polyethylene packaging foam is made from a proprietary formulation that's not starch-based. An organic additive causes the foam to attract microbes when placed in a microbe-rich environment, such as a landfill. The microbes digest the foam and, over time, convert it into biomass, CO2 and biogas. NomaGreen achieved 49 percent biodegradation in 120 days when tested by an independent, third-party laboratory using ASTM D5511, the standard test method for determining anaerobic biodegradation of plastic materials under high-solids anaerobic-digestion conditions. It is available in 2-inch thick LDPE plank sheets, but custom profile orders will also be quoted.
