The new freeze-tolerant resin, CP-INJ-13, is the newest addition to the co.’s Compostables™ resin family. The new resin retains structural rigidity in freezing temperatures, ideal for frozen-food applications, such as ice cream containers, and all applications requiring resistance to low temperatures and/or high flexibility. Providing structural integrity in temperatures as low as -35 degree Celsius, the resin also provides greater tensile elongation and IZOD impact measure, the co. says.
