Brand owner Henkel developed a reusable packaging design for Dial Foaming Hand Wash. The packaging offers a concentrated refill starter kit that contains one empty foaming hand wash bottle and three concentrated refill packets.

Each refill packet reconstitutes with water to make 7.5 fluid ounces of foaming hand wash.

According to Dial, each packet uses 95% less plastic than a single-use, 7.5-oz Dial Foaming Hand Wash bottle. In addition, the packets are recyclable through TerraCycle.

The refills come in three formulations.

In February, Dial refills was awarded 2022 Product of the Year winner in two categories, Personal Cleansing and Sustainable Home Essentials. Product of the Year is the largest consumer-voted award for product innovation, determined by 40,000 US shoppers through a national survey
