Syngene Earns Silver Rating in EcoVadis Sustainability Index
The global contract service provider to medical and other industries achieved 82% power from renewable energy, zero waste to landfill across all campuses, and related Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) gains.

Syngene International, a global contract research, development, and manufacturing organization (CRDMO) based in Karnataka, India, has achieved a silver rating in the sustainability-tracking EcoVadis Index, placing the company in the top 15% of those assessed worldwide in the past year.
The silver rating reflects the CRDMO's commitment to excellence in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and achievements, including these:
82% power from renewable energy across all campuses
96% of waste recycled
45% water recycled or reused
70% of total procurement is from domestic suppliers in India
EcoVadis' business sustainability ratings evaluate companies against 21 sustainability criteria under four core themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Over 100,000 companies are assessed by EcoVadis every year and the rating was awarded following a rigorous evaluation.
