1. What Beautiful Packaging: Bob Dylan Bootleg Whiskey

This year, Heaven’s Door Spirits, in partnership with Bob Dylan, unveiled the second entry in its Bootleg Series of annual, limited-release whiskeys and special blends. The packaging for the 2020 Bootleg Series edition, a 15-year-old straight bourbon whiskey finished in 30-year-old Jamaican Pot Still Rum Casks, features art, craft, and exquisite design.

The whiskey’s handmade ceramic bottle is decorated with a replica of “Sunset, Monument Valley,” a painting by Bob Dylan. The secondary package, a journal-like leather case in dark green, is individually numbered, embellished with gold accents, and decoratively embossed. The Bootleg Series moniker is a nod to Dylan’s Bootleg Series of albums.

The 2020 limited edition comprises fewer than 3,000 bottles and carries a suggested retail price of $499.99. The product launched online and at select retailers in Fall 2020.

The Studio One Eleven division of Berlin Packaging designed the packaging.
