Conagra Brands' Birds Eye food processing facility will soon be closing, leaving hundreds without work.

A WARN letter by Conagra dated April 8, 2024, revealed the plant in Beaver Dam, WI, is closing in order to improve efficiencies and effectiveness within its supply chain network.

All 252 employees will be affected, and layoffs will happen beginning June 10, 2024, through Jan. 3, 2025. All production operations will cease on June 10, save for warehousing, which will stay open through January 3.

The Birds Eye plant produces frozen vegetables. In 2019, the company was planning an expansion to create 140 jobs over the next five years.

Headquartered in Chicago, Conagra operates 42 facilities and employs around 18,000 people, according to its website.
