Cannabis legal restrictions continue to relax state by state, giving food and beverage makers the green light to put the most potent parts of the marijuana plant into flavor-forward drinks, mixes, and spreads that fit easily into busy lifestyles.

As this five-product slideshow demonstrates, brand owners are using familiar foods and beverages to deliver two key components, THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol). Both compounds impart different mental and physical results. Although THC is still being studied for its health benefits, it’s predominantly enjoyed for its psychoactive, feel-good effect, whereas CBD is used for the relief of inflammation, anxiety, and nerve-related pain.

With well-designed packaging that connects with each product’s benefits, the products shown in cans, jars, and pouches represent fun and effective new ways to imbibe responsibly.
