Suture Pack Pops a Wheelie
A rotating wheel, mounted on a card, safeguards the suture and makes it easy to uncoil.
Oliver Healthcare Packaging shows off a novel structural design for suture packaging, the Wheel Suture CleanCut Card, in this video.
The card features an inner wheel with rounded cuts around the perimeter to secure the suture. When the filled card is folded over, a semicircular die-cut offers a glimpse of the blue suture. In use, the wheel turns to unspool the material, improving suturing precision and functionality.
Secondary packaging is a flat pouch with transparent film to display the suture pack. The folded card is inserted in the pouch and then sealed.
