The paper packaging for Nestlé’s Smarties does a star turn in this short video. Featured is a six-pack of paperboard Smarties tubes. The product, which goes back to 1937, is a popular coated-chocolate confection sold in the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, South Africa, and Canada.

Each Smarties tube in the six-pack has a hexagonal footprint. Thanks to this structure, the six-packs nest, honeycomb style.

The tubes, and the outer band that bundles them, are made of recyclable paper. Vertical perforations on the outer band make it easy for consumers to liberate each tube from the multipack.

To communicate the switch from plastic to paper packaging, the Smarties tubes and outer band carry the message “I’m paper” in English and French.
