Packaging ‘Innovation Tours’ parade trends, key markets

A popular feature at the WestPack shows is the one-hour Innovation Tour, which stars up to five exhibitors with special or unique products to share. These expert-led tours are free to event attendees. At WestPack 2018 (Feb. 6-8; Anaheim), we’ll have three packaging-related tours, one on each day of the show:

Innovation Tour: Packaging Trends—Tues., Feb. 6, noon to 1 p.m.

Innovation Tour: Flexible Packaging—Wed., Feb. 7, noon to 1 p.m.

Innovation Tour: Medical Packaging—Thurs., Feb. 8, 11 a.m. to noon

What you need to know

With me as tour guide, the “Innovation Tour: Packaging Trends” on Tues., Feb. 6, will stop at five booths, each connected to one of our packaging trends:

Automation: Bosch-Rexroth, Booth #4201

Food Safety: Anritsu Infivis, Booth #4913

Sustainability: Packline USA, Booth #5101

Digital Printing: Xante, Booth #5449

Ecommerce: Box on Demand, Booth #4972

For the Wed., Feb. 7, “Innovation Tour: Flexible Packaging” (again led by me), we’ll explore different flexible packaging platforms, including vertical form-fill-seal and filling/sealing systems for pre-made pouches by visiting these leading machinery manufacturers:

Triangle Package Machinery, Booth #4814

All Packaging Machinery, Booth #5417

Ohlson Packaging, Booth #5431

Matrix, A Pro Mach Co., Booth #5139

The stops on the “Innovation Tour: Medical Packaging,” led by Pharmaceutical & Medical Packaging News executive editor Daphne Allen on Thurs., Feb. 8, are:

ATEQ, Booth #1889

Atlas Vac Machine, Booth #1872

Berry Global, Booth #2359

Formost Fuji, Booth #4947

Rollprint Packaging Products, Booth #5425

Each exhibitor on the Innovation Tours will have about five to eight minutes for a short presentation about product(s)/service(s) the company offers that is related to the packaging trend or key market. The tour group will have a couple minutes to ask any questions they may have before we move on to the next stop.

Meet in Booth #313 a few minutes before the Innovation Tour to receive your tour map and headset.

Register now to attend WestPack 2018 so you don’t miss out on these informative and enjoyable tours.
