The new DataMan 500 image-based barcode reader is designed to achieve high read rates, and have excellent on-line visualization and high reliability. The co. says these high read rates are achieved by the DataMan 500's ability to read many damaged, distorted, blurred, scratched, low height and low contrast 1D barcodes.The DataMan 500 processes images at up to 1,000 frames/sec. and can read codes in any orientation, 2D codes such as Data Matrix and QR, and multiple codes in the same image. Overall device reliability is aided by a machine design that has no moving parts.
