A redesigned dairy label includes an upgraded facestock, adhesive and liner, all of which, the co. says, contribute to the convertability, application, performance and appearance of its DL7172 label stock. A patented, rubber-based hot-melt adhesive on the label stock exhibits less ooze and adhesive buildup and was designed to enable the highest die-cutting speed, dispensing and application. It adheres to a range of surfaces and performs well in cold, damp labeling applications. A new liner for DL7172 comprises a stronger, 2.5-mil supercalendered natural kraft and is coated with a release system designed specifically for label dispensing. The label stock utilizes a 50# white facestock with a high degree of brightness. Its semi-gloss coating provides high liquid wicking-resistance, resulting in less puckering of the label when exposed to moisture.
