Pactiv Corp. to expand, create 25 new jobs
Pactiv LLC, a maker of foodservice and food packaging, plans to expand its existing operations in Beech Island, SC. The $5.5 million investment will create 25 new jobs. The company will add a new production line and expand the warehouse by 10,000 sq ft to consolidate its regional operations. Construction is scheduled to start in February 2012.

 

TESSCO receives AT&T 2011 Supplier Sustainability Award
TESSCO Technologies Inc. has received a 2011 AT&T Supplier Sustainability Award. "TESSCO shares AT&T's commitment to innovation in sustainability," comments TESSCO chairman, president and CEO Robert Barnhill. "[For the 2011] holiday season, we launched a new retail package that replaces the traditional plastics with one that consists of up to 30 percent renewable, plant-based contents. Along with the 100 percent recycled and recyclable paperboard, we have been able to have a very positive impact on AT&T's commitment to reducing their carbon footprint."
