Artisan dairy manufacturer Alpina Foods is teaming up with Udi's Gluten Free Foods, America's leading gluten-free brand, to provide wholesome, gluten-free granola for its Restart brand of yogurt.
"Adding Udi's granola to Alpina Restart helps us raise the bar for quality in the yogurt aisle," says Alpina Foods' general manager, Carlos Ramirez. "Together, Alpina and Udi's Gluten Free offer the only convenient, all-in-one yogurt and certified gluten-free-granola snack."
Alpina Foods is temporarily using a hang tag from Bedford Industries to promote the partnership with Udi's until the Udi's logo is added directly on the label. Locally sourced, the tag will be placed on 100,000 cups after the dome is seated at Alpina Foods' facility in New York, including on samples to be shown at Expo West. The redesigned packaging should be through production shortly after the natural products expo in April 2012.
Established in 2008, Udi's Gluten Free Foods offers a variety of gluten-free baked goods. The company's reputation for its nutritious and flavorful handcrafted granola makes it an attractive partner for Alpina Foods.
"Gluten-free is one of the most popular food movements today," says Denise Sirovatka, vp of marketing, Udi's Gluten Free Foods. "By partnering with brands like Alpina, we can ensure that wholesome, healthy, gluten-free products are more widely available across all food categories."
Alpina Restart yogurt, available in strawberry, blueberry, vanilla and peach flavors, offers high-quality nutritional value that outweighs the competition. At 160 calories and with 12 grams of protein, Alpina Restart is all-natural, fat-free, naturally gluten-free, and rich in calcium, without any refined sugars or artificial sweeteners.
Alpina Restart yogurts are available at retailers including Food Emporium, Zabars, Central Market, Westside Market, and Whole Foods locations in the mid-Atlantic
