IoPP Web Seminar to Address Europe’s REACH Regulations

152555-reachgraphic2.jpgIf you ship packaged goods into Europe, if you supply packages or materials to customers who ship them to Europe, then REACH regulations may have an impact on your business. Now IoPP offers you a one-hour Web Seminar to help you be aware of the potential effects.

REACH is the acronym for Registration, Evaluation, Authorization of Chemicals, and the European Union is implementing it. As it focuses on chemicals, REACH may involve packaging through components such as inks, adhesives and even corrosion inhibitors.

The web seminar – called “Europe’s REACH Regulations: Impact on Packagers” -- will take place on October 17, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. Central Daylight Time. The format is Internet-based with telephone audio.

Here’s how the seminar gives information on the regulations:

One hour seminar covers two areas:

  • What are the registration, evaluation, authorization and restrictions on the used of chemicals in the European Union?

  • What is the impact on businesses that make or ship products into the EU?

  • The shift in regulatory burden from government to industry.
