The SUNX LP-400 laser marking series exceeds speeds of 700 characters/sec while reportedly maintaining accurate character formation. The scan head rotates freely through 350 deg of motion, and the tower-version laser head measures 24.2×7.5×9 in. System control can be conducted via either a VGA monitor and mouse or the co.'s touchscreen hand-held unit. Three laser output levels—30, 20 and 10 w—and two wavelengths—10.6 and 9.3 m—are available. Recommended applications besides marking and coding include scoring thin films and laminated pouches.
