Sun Chemical Corp. names Rick Joyce vp, technology North American Inks. He comes to the co. following 19 years with GE Plastics, where he served most recently as global color technology manager.

Maxcess Intl. makes Marcel G. Hage its group vp, North America. He joined the co. in 2000 as vp of sales and marketing for North America and exports and has more than 14 years of industrial manufacturing experience.

GN Packaging equipment adds Gonzalo Varela as a sales rep and Christopher Paul as a sales engineer. Varela specializes in aseptic packaging. Paul has almost 20 years of experience in flexible packaging.

Huskey Injection Molding Systems names Michael Evitts vp of machines. He most recently served as gm of John Deere's GA-based tractor operation.

Ossid Corp. brings on Mike White as operations manager. White has more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing, most recently with Bespak, a British supplier of drug-delivery technologies.

New Jersey Packaging appoints Narendra Srivatsa to the newly created position of business development manager, brand authentication.

Kliklok-Woodman hires Henk Hoogendoorn as general sales manager of its U.S. hq. He brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing management experience, most recently as dir. of business development and plastic packaging for Elopak. Nigel Salter is named dir. of operations of the co.'s Bristol, U.K. facility.

Sonoco elects Charles L. Sullivan executive vp and Charles J. Hupfer senior vp, CFO and corporate secretary.

Alcoa Flexible Packaging adds Bimal Kalvani as president, succeeding Elizabeth "Liz" Fessenden. Kalvani comes to the co. with 20 years of experience in the consumer and industrial packaging industry.

Syfan USA, Corp. opens its first U.S.-based manufacturing facility in Everetts, NC. The 8-acre facility will produce shrink wrap for the food, hi-tech and pharmaceutical industries while employing 80 people.

Innova Holdings, Inc. forms Service Robots, Inc., a wholly owned sub.

Integrated Packaging Corp. opens a new, state-of-the-art corrugated manufacturing plant in Alexandria, LA. The 60,000-sq-ft plant will employ 50 people.

CMM Intl. moves to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, IL, for its '07 event.

Owens-Illinois introduces its new global identity, O-I. The co.'s 22 subsidiaries will be branded with the new name.
