Training CD

?The Fundamentals of Food Packaging? is an interactive, computer-based training program. Developed as an alternative to consultant-led, classroom-based training, it satisfies the employee hygiene training requirements contained in technical standards such as the BRC/IOP Packaging Standard. Topics include foreign body, chemical, and bacterial contamination, personal hygiene, effective cleaning and hazard analysis. The program concludes with a hygiene quiz, which upon successful completion is followed by the production of a personalized certificate of training.

A new interactive site, www.sealedair.com provides expanded content through extensive information about product and services, international regions and investor relations. The international focus allows users to find products and services available in four different regions of the world: North America; Latin America; Asia Pacific and Europe. Visitors to the Latin American section have the ability to view the site in either Spanish or Portuguese. An interactive color-keyed map reminds users of the region they are browsing. The products and services section of the North American site is divided into four categories: fresh food packaging; protective packaging; shrink packaging and specialty products. In the protective packaging category, the user can search by product, type of protection and material type. The site also includes an investor relations section.

Online resource center

The co.'s Pneumatic Cylinder Sensor Center uses an online database that allows users to locate the correct sensor and associated bracket based on the cylinder type. The application then generates a printable datasheet and offers the user an opportunity to request a price quote via e-mail. The database features more than 530 cylinders and is updated regularly. Information available includes sensor features such as housing options, switching functions and operating voltage. Users who are equipped with AutoCAD can also download sensor drawings, bracket drawings and installation directions.

Recently revamped with a fresh look and new capabilities, the organization's website offers a more interactive design. Conveyor selector program

Customers can research and determine the conveyor system that best matches their needs by clicking on the conveyor selector icon on the co.'s home page. The tool asks users a series of 10 questions about their application, with each question including an explanation to assist the user in making the correct choice. Once complete, the tool provides a list of conveyors, accompanied by spec sheets that could accommodate the user's application. Users can then submit their information for a price quote or more information on the conveyor platform. IN the event a matching conveyor is not found, the user is directed to the co.'s Engineering Special Products (ESP) program for a custom solutions.
