The co. introduces its Trapped Blister, which includes 100-percent-recycled content in the paperboard, recycled-PET blister, natural Latex p-sensitive adhesive, vegetable-based inks and aqueous coatings. Is compatible with any formable plastic including bioplastics. The trapped blister can be thermoformed, printed, die-cut and contract packaged, and it is also an environmentally lean product that offers a reduction in freight and fuel use, compared to a traditional packaging supply chain, the co. says. By using p-s adhesive on the paperboard, the co. eliminates the use of a sealing tool; there is also less time spent during the thermoforming process, due to the reduction of plastic in the trapped blister, according to the co.
