Pharmapack North America exhibitor Tekni-Plex announces acquisition

Tekni-Plex Europe NV announced the acquisition of Gallazzi's Italian-based pharmaceutical blister film (Tradate, Varese, Lombardia) and adhesive tape substrate film (Gallarate, Varese, Lombardia) businesses on May 1.

The company will be at Pharmapack North America in New York from June 9 to June 10 at Booth 4215. 

Tekni-Plex is focused on developing and manufacturing innovative packaging materials and precision-crafted tubing solutions for some of the most well-known names in the healthcare, food and beverage, consumer, and specialty-product markets. Its Tekni-Films, Tri-Seal, and Tech-Seal operations manufacture stock and custom high-barrier films, foils, and pouch materials as well as closure liners, both foam and heatseal.

Tekni-Plex will continue to operate the acquired businesses using the same plants, equipment, formulations, procedures, and certifications with no change to the products produced for customers, according to the company press release. Tekni-Plex will operate the acquired businesses through its subsidiary, Tekni-Plex Gallazzi Srl.
