New Envi by Monadnock is a premium, high-quality, line of environmental packaging grades designed for folding boxes, luxury shopping bags, setup boxes, tubes, price tickets and hang tags. First to be introduced in the line is Envi Folding Box Board (FBB), an 18-pt single-ply, uncoated paperboard recommended for packaging applications in fragrance, cosmetics, gourmet food, wine, spirits and entertainment. Made in a bright-white shade and said to feature an exceptional surface uniformity for remarkable print clarity and fidelity, Envi FBB is made with 80-percent post-consumer waste—one of the highest recycled-content level currently available in the market for single-ply, high-caliper uncoated paperboard, according to the co. Envi bears the Forest Stewardship Council chain of custody certification under the chip and fiber standard. This guarantees that the fiber contained in Envi is sourced responsibly and can be traced through every link in the supply chain. Up to 45 percent of the electricity used to manufacture Envi is generated on site at the paper mill through company-owned, low-impact hydroelectric generators, a form of clean, renewable, green energy.
