IoPP announces educational programs for 2009

Opportunities for continuing packaging education expand as the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) adds to its program. It offers three major packaging seminars in 2009.

Fundamentals of Packaging Technology, the essential seminar for packaging professionals who don’t have a degree in the field. IoPP offers it four times in 2009:

Jan. 26-30 and Feb. 23-27, 2009. Orlando
May 11-15 and June 8-12, 2009. Irvine, Calif.
July 20-24 and Aug. 17-21, 2009. Minneapolis
Sept. 21-25 and Oct. 19-23, 2009. Chicago

Packaging Machinery: Basics and Beyond, a new seminar is for those who manage packaging operations or who need to know how the packages they develop interface with machinery.

March 16-18, 2009. Franklin Park, Ill. (near Chicago O’Hare Airport).

Transport Packaging: Where Sustainability and Cost-Cutting Meet, a new one-day regional workshop stresses practical tactics in transport packaging. It shows how packaging interfaces with logistics to impact both costs and sustainability goals.
