With reported comprehensive mechanical and electronic upgrades, the FlexVac(R) 6-18 bacon-packaging machine has been reintroduced. Now with six tooling sizes for bacon drafts weighing up to 2 lb, the machine is said to be capable of speeds to 45 packages/min, featuring, among other things, PLC-based machine controls, monitoring and alarms, production data and package coding sensors, improved access and maintenance and an operator-friendly touchscreen interface.
