Method breezes in with pastel labels for the changing seasons

New label designs for Method’s summer collection were inspired by the hand-scooped frozen treats typically enjoyed during the warmer months of the year.

Deena Keller, Method’s design lead, explains, “We constructed patterns for each unique fragrance by taking small, colorful ice cream cone shapes and playing with transparency and overlapping to create three organic, irregular patterns that look like confetti or a sprinkle celebration on each bottle. The on-trend color palette of vibrant pastels with pop was carefully chosen to help bring the collection to life and evoke the feeling of care-free summer fun.”

She continues, “The challenge was coming up with three unique patterns that worked well on our bottle forms, were conducive to shrink sleeves and communicated three distinct fragrances, while still reading as a cohesive collection.”

The line includes gel hand wash, foaming hand wash and moisturizing body wash in three fragrances: orange ginger sorbet, brambleberry gelato and vanilla crème. The bottle shapes are the same as the company’s core line of washes, with refreshing new graphics on the PETG shrink labels.

The new designs help consumers add a pop of color to their kitchen or bathroom and, according to promotion, “get ready to spring into summer with these indulgent, gourmet fragrances and bright, playful designs.”

The limited-edition summer collection bottles—all made with 100 percent post-consumer recycled PET—will be available for the suggested retail price of $3.99 from February to August 2014 at Target Stores and on methodhome.com.
