The Iowa City Area Development Group has announced that a new packaging facility will bring 75 new jobs to the area with 100 percent of the hiring being local. Quality Associates, which is headquartered in Cincinnati, OH, will open the 245,000 sq ft packaging facility in the Scott Six Industrial Park in Iowa City in late March 2010.

"Quality Associates is excited to expand our business in the Iowa City market, further heightening our relationship with the Procter and Gamble Company," says, Quality Associates president Delores Epps. "For over two decades we have experienced tremendous growth. Our success throughout the recent volatile economic environment is primarily due to our outstanding people and quality services."

Quality Associates local Human Resources Manager Lisa Paterno remarks that given the economy, it is exciting to be focusing on hiring. "We're looking for applicants who are enthused about being part of a start-up," says Paterno.

Quality Associates currently operates facilities in Cincinnati; Riverside, MD, and Reidsville, NC. All the facilities are regulated and hold certificates through the FDA, USDA and DEA.
