Heineken Boosts Plant Safety with Bottle-Picking Robot

This robotics solution has the flexibility to handle unexpected situations at high speed.

To make its bottling lines safer for workers and enhance job satisfaction, Heineken developed a robotic system that automatically picks up fallen bottles from conveyor belts. The brewer worked with Smitzh, RoboHouse field lab, and Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) to implement the solution, which is flexible, reliable, and able to keep up with Heineken’s high-speed operations.
