I’ve been to almost every Pack Expo since 1984 and they are always interesting. The recent Pack Expo 2023 in Las Vegas may have been the most interesting yet. There was a lot of spectacular machinery. A lot of it was tried-and-true designs.

What made it interesting for me was all the improvements that had been added. Some were so obvious I slapped my head when I saw them. Some were more subtle.

Here are a handful that jumped out at me:

1. Fanuc robotic picking application

2. Omega robotic bottle orienter

3. Cremer counting machine for food and other products

4. Morcos sanitizing station for work entrances

5. Nimco carton filler

No matter how long you have been working with packaging, the Pack Expo shows will always teach you something new. I can’t wait for next year in Chicago.
