Sidel Inc. SBO Compact2 blow molder

Sidel Inc. SBO Compact2 blow molderThe SBO Compact2 bottle blow-molding machine features a new stretch-blowing system for the preform. The use of hydraulic actuators to drive the vertical movement of the stretching rod has been replaced by an electrical process with a servomotor and ballscrew assembly. According to the company, the new stretching console enables constant control of the stretching position and speed, ensuring repeatability. Further, the company states, the design maximizes production flexibility—because it works for a variety of bottle sizes, it is no longer necessary during format changeovers to manually adjust the pre-blowing and blowing start detectors. The machine is suitable for a wide range of applications, including water, carbonated soft drinks, juice, dairy products, detergents and cosmetics. Use it to blow simple or complex shapes using either PET or other plastics, and it can create container sizes from 0.2 L to 10 L.
