Ft. Collins, CO - Robert Harvey disputes the claim robots are job killers.

 

In fact, Harvey, sales manager at custom automation supplier CBW Automation, told PlasticsToday it's the opposite; robots keep U.S. companies competitive, which can lead to job growth.

 

"Robots actually help to keep business in North America," he says. "Automation can do what humans can't do."

 

Case in point, CBW Automation's high-speed robots, which seek to change how automation is used for flip-top closure manufacture.

 

For the flip-top closure market, CBW offers robotic part capture systems, cap closing systems, and downstream cap handling and packaging systems. This market segment represents sizeable growth for CBW, and it is partly the reason the company has recently increased staffing levels.
