PMMI members (from left) Jack Gray of Piab Inc., Dick Kurtz and Rick Schneider of Schneider Packaging stain flower planters on the grounds of the Brooke Army Medical Center's Fisher House in San Antonio, TX. The PMMI is meeting in San Antonio for its annual Executive Leadership Council. Many members worked at the Fisher House, which provides housing for families of "wounded warriors" undergoing rehabilitation.
Because members of the military and their families are stationed worldwide and must often travel great distances for specialized medical care, Fisher House Foundation donates "comfort homes," built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers, providing a "home away from home" that allows military families to be close to a loved one during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury.
